ADAY.org wants you to capture daily life on May 15th 2012 and share it with the world.

So where will you be on May 15th? What will you be doing? Haven't had a chance to think that far in advance? If you are like me, I can barely see past tomorrow. I am usually busy early in the morning getting my kids ready for school and sending them off, writing or prepping stories for Mobograf.com, getting a workout in and then trying to get some photo time in.

Our days are usually spent either in routines or adventuring to our personal places about our world. AS we travel through our day, being the great MoboGrafers that we are, we have the occasion of snapping the world around us. And like most of you, I share my experience with the world on my photo sharing sites of choice. We all see the world in different ways and that's what makes our photography so unique.

One group believes in this concept as well and wants to share your experiences with the world. The site is called ADAY.org and on one single day they are asking you to pick up your cameras and help photograph daily life. They want you to capture what is close and personal to YOU. Once done, they will connect your images to images from all around the world, creating a unique online experience where photographs will be shared, compared and explored. Your view on life will be preserved to inspire generations to come.

But why you might ask? Their mission is to use the power of photography to create, share and inspire perspectives on daily life – today and tomorrow.

Thanks to our very own MoboGrafer, @pjvalitutto for alerting us to this great project.

The project which is funded by the Swedish non-profit foundation Expressions of Humankind and supported by a global advisory council, is calling all photographers alike, from professionals to amateurs, to pick up your cameras on My 15th and photograph your world.

What will happen to the photos?

All images will be displayed online for you and everyone to explore. Some of the photos may even be selected for a book, A Day In the World, to be published in October 2012. Every single one will be saved for future research and inspiration and the photos will never be used for commercial purposes.

The support for this venture is very prestigious at best, attracting the likes of Desmond Tutu. See his video interview below:

So spread the word and be a part of history. MoboGraf will be there and we want to share your May 15th pictures here on MoboGraf.com, so be sure to share them in theGraf forum section: May 15th Day.
